\nAbstract:<\/strong> The authors were the first to develop a comprehensive methodological framework for the study of homeostatic mechanisms to ensure the stability of economic systems, including the reference points and the conceptual and categorical apparatus of the sustainable management theory. The meaningful features of the main types of homeostasis of economic formations are defined: evolutionary, structural, resistant, systemic. Their hierarchical closed relationship and prognostic managerial properties are established. A set of conditions and mechanisms for ensuring the adaptation of homeostasis of economic systems to external and internal transformational influences in order to ensure sustainable management is substantiated. New directions and means for creating complementary economic complexes resistant to institutional and resource constraints are shown. It is recognized that the combinatorics of homeostasis controls includes stabilization, inertia, adaptation, organizational and economic, kinematic, cybernetic, alarm, cognitive-informational, reparative, regenerative and other types. It is proved that a set of mechanisms to ensure the self-regulating properties of economic systems should be focused on maintaining their adaptability to external and internal transformations. A methodology elaborated by the authors, which accounts for the four-level structural hierarchy of homeostatic properties of economic systems, opens up real opportunities for the adequate design of regulators and their consolidation on priority objects. Future research is expected to address the following problems: the formation of a general management system to ensure the stability of economic systems of the matrix type; creation of a congruent institutional environment at each stage of achieving homeostasis; overcoming institutional constraints, eliminating threats and risks to sustainable development, with their differentiation by spatial features.<\/p>\n\n
