The mission of the journal “Science and Science of Science” is regular studies of practices, tendencies and prospects of the science & technology system in Ukraine and beyond, which is reflected in a wide range of issues highlighted on its pages. They include: science & technology and innovation policies, performance and tendencies of the science and technology system, science & technology infrastructure, international science & technology cooperation, scientometrics, webmetrics, history of science and academic schools etc. The journal offers a floor for discussing problematic issues of reforms, development and operation of the science & technology system in Ukraine: opinions of distinguished scientists, power officials, experts in various fields, presented on its pages, arouse interest of our readers.
The journal has been coming out since 1993, to continue the traditions of the scientific collection “Science of science and informatics” (ISSN 0374-3896, Naukovedenie i informatika”) founded in 1969 by the initiative of G. M. Dobrov, the founder of science and technology studies in Ukraine and the first director of G. M. Dobrov Institute for of Scientific and Technological Potential and Science History Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The journal “Science and Science of Science” is the only journal across the post-soviet area publishing articles on a wide range of subjects related with science & technology studies.
